Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a real museum?

We are a real virtual museum! Our exhibits, timeline, and information are genuine — we just don't have a physical building (yet). The history of stairlifts is fascinating and deserves to be told.

Why a museum about stairlifts?

Why not? Stairlifts have helped millions of people maintain independence in their homes. They represent a century of engineering innovation and a deep commitment to accessibility. Plus, someone had to do it.

Can I donate a stairlift to the museum?

As a virtual museum, we can't accept physical donations. However, if you have photographs, documents, or stories about vintage stairlifts, we'd love to hear about them!

Do you have a physical location I can visit?

Not at this time. But if you find yourself in a home with a stairlift, you're essentially visiting a living exhibit. Ask permission before taking a ride.
