About This Exhibit

The Acorn 180 Curved, launched in 2004, brought Acorn's value-focused philosophy to the curved stairlift market. Previously, curved stairlifts had been premium products with prices to match. Acorn set out to change that.

The 180 used a modular rail system with pre-manufactured curved sections that could be combined to fit most staircase configurations. While not as precisely tailored as fully custom rails, this approach dramatically reduced manufacturing costs and installation time.

Acorn's efficient production and distribution network meant the 180 Curved could be quoted, manufactured, and installed in a fraction of the time required by competitors.

Historical Significance

The 180 Curved made curved stairlifts accessible to a much broader market, no longer limiting them to premium customers only.
