About This Exhibit

The Bruno Elite Outdoor, introduced in 2008, addressed a often-overlooked accessibility challenge: external stairs. Porches, decks, and exterior entries often present the most difficult barriers for people with mobility issues.

Bruno engineered the Elite Outdoor to withstand rain, snow, sun, and temperature extremes. Marine-grade components, sealed electronics, and weather-resistant upholstery ensured reliable operation in conditions that would destroy an indoor unit.

The track used a special aluminum alloy resistant to corrosion, while the motor and controls were housed in weatherproof enclosures. A protective cover for the seat and controls came standard, providing additional protection when not in use.

Historical Significance

The Elite Outdoor opened up accessibility solutions for exterior applications, allowing users to remain independent in all areas of their property.

Did You Know?

Bruno tests their outdoor units in a climate chamber that simulates years of weather exposure in just weeks.
